The iPhone companion is on the App Store
Clerk.AI is a Mac app that does your company's monthly bookkeeping prep. Its iPhone companion has been through App Store review and is now available to download. It is free for everybody, and it means you can set a close off on the Mac and then get on with your day, answering on your phone as things come up.
Set it off, then go about your day
Clerk.AI usually has its first question for you within a few minutes of starting, which is not long and is still far too long to sit and watch for. So the way it works best is that you set a close off on the Mac and then go about your day, and answer on your phone as the questions arrive. Some of those are telling you that you have to go back to the Mac yourself, because a bank wants you to sign in and that is not something the phone can finish for you. Many more of them are just a correction or a clarification, like whether the €29,99 on the studio card in June was the second SIM you keep for client calls or something personal, and you speak that into the companion and Clerk.AI is unblocked and carries on while you get back to whatever you were doing.
Getting it
The companion has been working for a while and went out to testers over TestFlight. It has now been through review and is on the App Store, so you can install it like anything else. Get it on the App Store. It is free for everybody.
You answer by speaking, and the recording is transcribed on your own Mac rather than anywhere else, which is the same arrangement as everything else Clerk.AI does with your books. Sign in with the same iCloud account your Mac uses and the questions are already there, because the two halves find each other through your own iCloud rather than through an account with us.
If you already run Clerk.AI on your Mac, there is nothing else to set up.
