The short list of companies involved when you pay us or hold an account with us. Your books are not on it.
Clerk.AI is a Mac app, and the work it does happens on your machine. That makes this list unusually short: it covers accounts and money, because those are the only things that reach us at all.

Your books are not processed by anybody, including us. Statements, receipts, the ledger and the packets you send your accountant are files in a folder on your Mac. There is no Clerk.AI copy of them, so there is nothing of them to hand to a sub-processor.
Anthropic is not our sub-processor, and the distinction matters. The agent runs on your own Claude subscription, under your own agreement with Anthropic — we are not a party to it and we do not send them anything. If we ever sell AI credits, that changes, and this page changes with it before the feature ships.
Sign-in providers. If you choose to sign in with Apple or with Google, that provider tells us the address you signed in with and nothing else. Choosing an email link instead avoids them entirely. (Google is on the list above for a separate reason — counting visits — which is a different job by the same company.)
The analytics on this site do not store anything on your device. We count visits with Google Analytics, configured so that it sets no cookie and keeps no identifier for you — which means it cannot tell a returning visitor from a new one, and cannot follow you anywhere else. That is a deliberate trade: we would rather have blunter numbers than ask you to dismiss a cookie banner. There is no advertising network on this site, and the download counts we publish come from our own Cloudflare worker.
If we add a sub-processor we will update this page and say so in the release notes. If you would rather be told directly, ask us and we will write to you.
